International youth science practice activities and competitions
1. International Youth Science Olympiad (IJSO) : This is an international science competition for junior high school students, integrating the three major subjects of physics, chemistry and biology in the field of natural science. Each competition question may span three major disciplines. The content of the competition questions includes three parts: multiple-choice test, theoretical test and experimental test. The top 10% of the total score will be awarded gold MEDALS, the next 20% will be silver MEDALS, and the last 30% will be bronze MEDALS. In addition, there are four special awards: the Experimental award, the best theory award, the highest total score award, and the national award. The Chinese mainland team has been participating in the IJSO competition since 2014.
